Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:
1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡
2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.
3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.
FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.
That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Want to brighten up dull skin but find a vitamin C serum too strong? Trying to correct dry skin and want to offset the first signs of ageing? Reach for the Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence: this one product will do it all! Rice extracts and probiotic ingredients are capable of reversing UV damage, evening out the skin tone and promoting collagen production. Fermented ingredients make up no less than 97% of Neogen's Real Ferment Micro Essence, making this one very potent formula!
Neogen's Micro Essence, as with any essence, is meant to be used after a toner and before a serum. Think of an essence as a type of additional 'treatment' toner. In the case of Neogen's Micro Essence, the treatment is a brightening and plumping. Because the formula is highly compatible and gels with virtually any routine, you can use the Micro Essence in combination with other treatments, including active ingredients.
While Neogen isn't a purely vegan brand (some of its products contain honey and snail secretion), its entire range is cruelty-free and some individual products are also vegan. The Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence IS vegan, with none of the ingredients animal-derived.
You can use this Neogen Essence once or twice a day. Its ingredients are gentle and safe, and its one of the few Neogen products that is fragrance-free (hooray!). Always patch test first, of course! We'd only advise those with fungal acne or malassezia-related conditions to avoid it - or any product containing fermented ingredients, for that matter. They can act as a potential trigger for fungal breakouts.
The Neogen Real Ferment Micro Essence improves skin texture because of its high concentration of fermented ingredients. Fermented and probiotic skincare such as bifida lysate have have been clinically proven to stregthen the skin's microbiome (i.e. a barrier of friendly bacteria on your skin's surface that protect it from free radicals and harmful pathogens), encourage visible skin repair and lead to a brighter, healthier and more hydrated complexion.
Neogen's Micro Essence absorbs very well into the skin. It doesn't sit on top of your skin or feel particularly tacky. You can use it in layers, and once you apply your moisturizer, you won't feel a trace of it. Thirsty and dehydrated skin in particular drinks this right up, no pun intended!
What irritates our skin really comes down to the individual: that's why we always recommend patch testing protects, even ones as gentle as Neogen's Micro Essence. Technically, this product should actually reduce skin sensitivity and irritation, by improving its micro biome.
Neogen's Real Ferment Micro Essence goes a long way to improving skin tone, and is an excellent replacement for vitamin C or acid exfoliants. It won't have the same immediate effect as active ingredients, but consistent use will produce a more homogenized and healthier looking complexion.
