let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Dr. Jart+ - Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment - 50ml

The Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment (a.k.a. Cicapair Re-Cover) is one of Dr. Jart's most unique products. Packed with soothing Tiger Grass, it's a redness treatment, colour-corrector and BB cream all in one! It's also formulated with SPF22 PA++, making it ideal for daytime wear. Simply apply it on your skin, concentrating on areas of redness and uneven skin tone. The mild green tint quickly neutralizes discoloration. But don't worry, it won't have you looking like Shrek! The green tint turns beige on your skin for soft coverage and a mild tone-up effect.

50ml.

This product is great on acne, rosacea-prone and sensitive skin. Our only qualm is that it doesn't blend well on darker skin tones. Olive or mild tans can still get away with this product by combining it with a bronzer, but we wouldn't apply it on medium to deep skin tones. Instead, we recommend Journ's Correct and Perfect.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does the Cicapair Re Cover do?

What doesn't Dr Jart's Cicapair Re-Cover do! This centella-packed emulsion is a redness neutralizer, BB cream and SPF all in one. The minty tint colour corrects and helps to even out a patchy skin tone, magically turning into a soft beige tint as you massage it in for light coverage. It also offers an SPF of 22 PA++, for broadspectrum UV protection.

How does Dr Jart Re Cover improve skin texture?

Apart from infusing skin with soothing compounds such as vitamin B3, panthenol and madecassoside, Dr Jart+'s Re-Cover provides a "tone-up" effect thanks to the titantium dioxide in the formula. Dimethicone gives your skin a mild blurring effect, helping skin look more even and veiling texture.

How well does Dr Jart Re Cover absorb into skin?

Now here's our only gripe with Dr Jart's Re-Cover: the use of the physical UV filter titanium dioxide means that this will leave a cast on medium to deep skin tones. If you have tan or olive skin, you can probably get away with it by blending it in with a bronzer (which will also leave you with a lovely glow). However, it's best suited to fair skin and will absorb fairly easily. If your skin tone is Fitzpatrick IV or darker, try Journ's Correct and Perfect Colour Correctors instead.

Does Dr Jart Re Cover feel greasy?

Dr Jart's Re-Cover doesn't feel greasy: in fact, it finishes on the semi-matte side so its suitable for application on an oily T-zone. We'rd recommend "warming" it between your fingers before applying for a more even application.

Will Dr Jart Re Cover cause irritation?

Because of its soothing ingredients, Dr Jart+'s Re-Cover should not cause irritation: on the contrary, it should actually work to reduce typical rosacea and sensitivty symptoms (as with the rest of the Cicapair range). But as always, patch test first (especially if your skin is on the reactive side). Plus, given this product is a colour corrector as well as a BB cream, practising application on your wrist first will help you determine how much you need to use and how much blending you'll require for the best results.

Does Dr Jart Re Cover even skin tone?

Dr Jart+'s Re-Cover helps to even out the skin tone, particularly if redness and spotchiness is a key concern. Because it turns beige on your skin, it provides light coverage - but isn't a replacement for a heavy foundation (more like a tinted cream).
