Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:
1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡
2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.
3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.
FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.
That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence is a formula containing 10% Galactomyces Ferment Filtrate—a naturally fermented ingredient known to even out skin tone and refine skin texture. It's the famous ingredient that the (far more expensive) SKII brand is built on (aka Pitera). COSRX brings it to you in a more affordable formula, combined with other skin-loving ingredients such as niacinamide, hyaluronic acid and panthenol.
The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence does a myriad of things! Galactomyces is said to reduce skin sensitivity, gently brighten and even reduce fine lines. The formula also includes the powerful organic compound adenosine, which has been clinically proven to improve fine lines. It's ideal for those with sensitive skin, a compromised skin barrier, and for those facing the first signs of aging.
There's a big differece between the COSRX Snail Essence and the Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence. They are completely different formulas, with the Advanced Snail Mucin Essence harnessing the restorative, dewy powers of snail mucin. The Galactomyces Essence on the other hand, has fermented ingredients as the main star, making it 100% vegan.
There's no hard and fast rule against using the COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence with AHA BHA and other acid exfoliants; you can use it after an acid exfoliant toner. We personally think that the Galactomyces Essence works beautifully with retinol and niacinamide.
Galactomyces is said to reduce skin sensitivity, gently brighten and even reduce fine lines. It also offers hydrating benefits, and can protect our skin similar to the way of antioxidant ingredients. It's something virtually everyone's skincare routine can benefit from!
The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence is a viscous essence and not particularly watery; it absorbs well into the skin, but if using in a layered or multi-step routine, might take more time to absorb. We would use this after a toner and/or treatment toner, but before any serums.
The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence doesn't feel greasy in the slightest; there are no oils in the formula. It has a slightly thick, viscous water-based texture that's designed to sink into your skin.
The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence shouldn't cause irritation; on the contrary, it's supposed to reduce irritation and skin sensitivity. With that said, it's horses for courses and everyone's skin is different. Always patch test a new skincare product first, before applying it on your face.
The COSRX Galactomyces 95 Tone Balancing Essence uses both galactomyces ferment filtrate and niacinamide to gently brighten and even out the skin tone. It's not as powerful as a strong vitamin C serum, but can make a difference over time with consistent use.
