Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:
1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡
2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.
3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.
FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.
That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy
Why do people rave about the AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner from COSRX? Firstly, it only contains a 0.2% concentration of acids but still performs like a full-strength product. Secondly, it feels comfortable even on sensitive skin that doesn't usually take well to AHAs and BHAs. Thirdly, this goodie works wonders on skin texture. You'll see a noticeable improvement in the smoothness of your skin, particularly if you have subclinical acne: these are the tiny bumps that typically appear on the forehead and cheeks, and are too small to be squeezed like regular pimples. Finally, the concise formula rates a mention. The AHA/BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner contains just 11 ingredients, including volcanic mineral water, willow bark, soothing allantoin and panthenol.

The COSRX AHA BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner is gentle enough to use every day! While it's technically an exfoliant toner, it only contains a 0.2% concentration of acids. Hence, it's safe for regular use. Sensitive skin can also use it daily, or a few times a week.
After using the COSRX AHA BHA Toner, we'd recommend applying a soothing serum to reinforce your skin barrier. This is important after any type of exfoliation, no matter how mild. It doesn't need to be heavy or oily - if you have congested skin, you could try SOME BY MI's propolis ampoule or if you have sensitive skin, Purito's Centella Unscented Serum. Alternatively, if you have dry skin, you could opt for SVR's nourishing Nuti-Balm.
The COSRX AHA BHA Clarifying Treatment Toner is an effective daily toner to keep blackheads at bay. If blackheads are a problem, try ramping up to a slightly stronger BHA toner (such as the COSRX BHA Blackhead Power Liquid), or alternating use of the AHA BHA toner with a retinol serum like SVR's Vitamin A Ampoule.
The COSRX AHA BHA Toner is ideal for acne prone skin - especially if you're sensitive to harsher anti-acne formulas. The AHA will gently remove dead skin cells from the surface while the BHA will penetrate deeper to unclog pores. Because of their relatively low concentration (0.2%), it shouldn't cause redness and dryness. Soothing ingredients like panthenol and allantoin will help to reinforce your skin barrier, reducing the severity of future breakouts.
