Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:
1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡
2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.
3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.
FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are ceramides good for skin?
If you have persistently dry skin, frequent skin allergies or irritation, it doesn't get much better than ceramides when it comes to your skin. Ceramides form a critical part of our skin barrier, which helps keep nasty skin irritants out and moisture in. They're produced by our skin's oil glands, but can get impacted by age, overexfoliation, sun exposure, stress and a range of other factors. Luckily, applying ceramides topically in the form of skincare (such as the Ceramidin Cream from Dr Jart+) can be highly effective and both improving hyration and fortifying the natural skin barrier.
Can ceramides clog pores?
Ceramides on their own won't glog pores, but ceramides set in rich, oily or unsuitable formulas might. Not all ceramide-infused skincare is the same: some are suitable for oily and irritated skin, while others are fare more heavy duty to correct atopic skin conditions. Dr Jart's Ceramidin Cream, for instance, is fairly thick. It's ideal for dry skin that's also irritated - but might be too much for congestion-prone skin. Finding your perfect ceramide cream may take a bit of trial and error.
Is Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream good for sensitive skin?
Dr Jart's Ceramidin Cream is excellent for sensitive skin. The parfait-like moisturizer is semi-occlusive, helping to both moisturize and mimic the function of a healthy skin barrier. It'll render your skin less vulnerable t external aggressors, and correct persistent dryness and dry patches.
Is Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream good for oily skin?
While some of us with oily skin will love Dr Jart's Ceramidin Cream, others may find it too heavy - particularly if they're also congestion prone. If you have oily but dehydrated skin, try water-based hydration instead - such as a hyaluronic acid or beta glucan cream, after dampening your skin with a soothing toner.
How well does Dr Jart Ceramidin Cream absorb into skin?
For a rich cream, Dr Jart's Ceramidin Cream absorbs into skin surprisingly fast. Parched and thisty skin in particular will soak this baby right up. It can be used straight after cleansing or on top of a serum - the smooth formula won't pill when massaged in correctly.
