      Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

      1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

      2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

      3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

      What percentage of retinol is in A313?

      The percentage of retinol in A313 is only 0.12% of synthetic vitamin A. It seems almost hard to believe, given the results! But in actual fact, A313 is quite a gentle retinol product. But retinol is still retinol, so ensure you are still introducing it into your routine slowly, and dropping use if its causing irritation or dryness.

      Does A313 clear acne?

      A313 is great at clearing up acne! Because retinol speeds up skin cell turnover, it can make breakouts disappear faster, and pimples 'come to a head' sooner. But just be aware, it can make any existing zits lurking under the surface come up faster too! That's just the nature of retinol. But with consistent use, it should help clear up congestion. Depending on your skin, you might need something stronger or something totally different - there's no silver bullet for acne, unfortunately! So, if A313 doesn't do the job, try a different ingredient like niacinamide or BHA, introduce a routine that uses a combination of different anti-acne ingredients, or speak to your dermatologist about perscription treatments.

      Is retinol good for your skin?

      There's a reason why retinol is so celebrated: it's simply because retinol is good for your skin. Now, it might not suit everyone, but generally speaking (and in the right doses and frequency), it should clear up congestion, reduce the occurrence of fine lines and even out the complexion. It's also one of the very few skncare ingredients that's been clinically proven to actually reduce pore size!

      How long does it take to see results from A313?

      Depending on how often you use it, it's around 2-6 weeks until you start to see results from A313. Generally, the congestion-clearing comes sooner, while it may take longer for the anti-ageing results (sometimes up to 4 or 5 months!). But keep at it - consistency is the key and your skin will thank you for it.

      What does A313 Pommade do?

      A313 does many things for your skin: like any retinol, it'll clear fine lines, improve the evenness of your skin, reduce pore size, help clear congestion and regulate sebum levels. Be aware that it is a typical retinol product, so it can also lead to dryness, redness and irritation as your skin gets used to it.

      Is A313 like tretinoin?

      A313 is not the same as Tretinoin and isn't really like Tretinoin at all. While they are both vitamin A products, Tretinoin is a prescription treatment and quite strong. It can be very effective on acne, and so if your doctor has recommended it for you, don't consider A313 to be a replacement! A313 is far milder.

      Can you use A313 every night?

      If it suits your skin, you can use A313 every night. Frankly, using retinol 3 times a week is enough to see good results, so don't feel like you need to use it daily for optimal effects. And don't forget, always wear SPF during the day when you're using any retinol, and keep your skin barrier in good nick!

      What is the active ingredient in A313?

      The active ingredient in retinol is vitamin A - or to be more exact, 0.12% of Retinyl Palmitate. This is a vitamin A derivative that is considered to be gentler than pure retinol.

      Can you use A313 during the day?

      While you technically can use A313 during the day, we always recommend using any retinol product at night. That's because retinol renders your skin more vulnerable to UV rays. But even when you use A313 at night, alway apply your your SPF during the day (and continue to re-apply every couple of hours).

      A313 (formerly known as Avibon) is a pharmaceutical-grade retinol product sold over-the-counter in France, and one of the country's best beauty secrets. Given how effective it is, it's a mystery to us why A313 is not better known in the rest of the world!

      This retinyl palmitate cream is carefully formulated to avoid causing flakey skin the way a typical retinol product might. The vitamin A concentration is only 0.12% - which seems hard to believe given A313's ability to produce astounding results. We attribute this to its use of polyethylene glycol as a stabilizer, which better enables the retinol's penetration into the skin.

      The texture is almost like Vaseline - which might feel thick and heavy on your skin, but it gets quickly absorbed and leaves your skin feeling protected. Use it as a blemish treatment (pimples be gone!) or all over your skin to improve texture and erase fine lines.
