Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:
1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡
2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.
3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.
FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.
That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy
Yet another Beauty of Joseon product to get obsessed with! You will adore the Ginseng Sun Serum if you're usually put off by the thick and sticky textures of other sun care products. In convenient pump packaging and producing a lightweight, creamy gel, it feels hydrating and won't leave a white cast. Beauty of Joseon's Ginseng Moist Sun Serum does contain UV filters and has been tested by both a Korean and Spanish Lab to verify its rating of SPF50+ PA++++.. However, it has not been tested by the Australian body the TGA, which is why we don't classify it as sunscreen down under. But we're desperately praying more international brands take this step, as we need more diversity in our Aussie-approved sun protection offering!
Beauty of Joseon's Ginseng Serum offers several benefits. Ginseng is a traditional hanbang ingredient for addressing hydration, redness and ageing concerns. Ginseng root is rich in both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and helps protect the skin from free radicals (a factor in premature ageing). Together with niacinamide, it'll help calm skin redness and sensitivity. Meanwhile, the saponin content in ginseng along with the vitamin E in the formula will boost the skin's moisture levels.
Beauty of Joseon is a proudly cruelty-free brand, with several of their products being vegan as well. In fact, the Ginseng Moist Sun Serum is one of its vegan products.
The Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Moist Sun Serum does not contain hyaluronic acid. Instead, there's Olive Fruit Oil, Vitamin E and Glycerin in the ingredients list to moisturise dry skin.
Because Beauty of Joseon's Ginseng Sun Serum is meant to be a serum rather than a traditional sun cream, it doesn't take long for it to be absorbed into the skin. It should pretty much sink in after a few seconds! Plus, it doesn't pill once applied and dried.
Because ginseng root has anti-inflammatory properties, Beauty of Joseon's Ginseng Moist Sun Serum can be good for acne-prone skin suffering from redness and irritation. It'll also help address dehydration caused by harsh anti-acne products or retinoids without clogging pores. Just be aware that there are some fragrant essential oils that can irritate those with a sensitivity towards natural fragrances. It also has a dewy finish, which those with oily skin may not love.
