let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm used for?

Banila's Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm is used for effectively removing all traces of makeup and excess sebum off the skin, in preparation for a second cleanse with a foaming, gel or water-based face wash. Simply melt the balm between your fingers and massage it gently over dry skin for around 45 seconds, before rinsing off with warm water.

How long does Banila Cleansing Balm last?

As with virtually everything else, how long Banila's Cleansing Balm lasts really depends on how often and how much you use it! Typically, you only need a coin-sized amount (no, really) each time to do the job. Some people like to use it only in the evenings, while others prefer a twice daily routine. On average, one tub lasts around 3-4 weeks - long enough for your skin to show how it likes it.

Does Banila Co Clean It Zero clog pores?

Banila's Clean It Zero does not clog pores for the reason that it is a cleanser, and rinses off. Usually if something is clogging our pores in our skincare routine, the culprit is usually a product that's left on the face. Facial cleansers don't generally stay on the skin long enough to clog it. In fact, Banila's Clean It Zero should have the opposite effect - its cleansing balm (especially its Pore Clarifying version) can dislodge subborn dirt and sebum in pores, leaving it cleaner.

Does Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm have polyethylene?

As of writing this, Banila's Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm does contain polyethylene (or PEGs). However, for the most up-to-date list of ingredients, always check the box. K-Beauty brands are notorious for continuously updating and upgrading their formulas to make them better and respond to customer feedback. Ultimately, this is a good thing for consumers but can result in discrepancies between the ingredients listed on the website and the product in your hand.
